Front End Associate/Customer Service

The Round Rack is a brick-and-mortar Women's consignment boutique nestled in Wollaston Hill in Quincy, Massachusetts. We offer a thoughtfully curated selection of women's clothing, handbags, footwear, and accessories.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves working on the register and sales floor, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the shop's appearance. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion, has strong communication skills, and will create a positive shopping experience, assist with merchandising, and support daily operations. We expect a high level of energy, professionalism, reliability, and positivity.

Hour Requirements:

● Availability to work part time (10-15 hours) Tuesday-Friday and 2 Saturday or Sundays a month within the hours of 10-5 along with your weekday scheduled shifts.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Interest in fashion and a passion for second-hand and sustainable shopping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain organized displays.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to lift and move items (up to 20 lbs).
• Availability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.

General Skills:

• Ability to process sales transactions using a POS system.
• Handling cash and card payments accurately.
• Understanding of pricing, markdowns, and promotions.
• Restocking, organizing, and maintaining a clean and visually appealing sales floor.
• Quick, reasonable thinking to resolve customer or consignor concerns.

Responsibilities:

● Handle customer service to include checking out customers, answering the phone, helping customers find inventory on the sales floor, helping to load and unload larger items for the customer, put back unwanted items, becoming familiar with brands/products/prices to ensure excellent customer service.

● Maintaining store displays, organizing and cleaning the sales floor, creating ways of re-organizing inventory to accommodate incoming inventory, restocking inventory

● Perform housekeeping duties such as dusting, mopping, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning windows and counters.
