What they need
MYCO helps people start, run, and manage UK businesses. More than 70,000 clients have used our company formation, address, mail, call answering, meeting room, and compliance services. We are bringing those services into a clearer, connected digital experience. Our client-facing estate includes public websites, account and service tools, checkout, help centre, and embedded experiences. The products serve new founders, established businesses, MYCO clients, and the teams supporting them.
About the role
We are looking for a product-focused Frontend Developer with strong UI craft. You will take hands-on ownership across MYCO's client-facing surfaces, from public marketing journeys to authenticated tools and checkout.
This is a broad role for someone comfortable moving between visual detail and application complexity. You might build a polished landing page, improve a multi-step form, shape an account workflow, or strengthen a shared component used across several products.
You will work with product, design, marketing, operations, and backend engineering. Some work will begin with detailed designs. Other work will start with a customer problem, a rough concept, or an existing journey needing improvement. You should enjoy turning each into accessible, maintainable software.
Our frontend applications use React, Next.js, and TypeScript. They share UI foundations, CMS content, catalogue data, and analytics. Frontends are hosted on Vercel and integrate with a .NET backend backed by Microsoft SQL Server on Azure.
What you will do
- Build and improve MYCO's websites, client tools, checkout, help centre, and embedded experiences.
- Turn designs and early concepts into responsive, accessible production interfaces.
- Own customer journeys across marketing, account creation, purchase, and service management.
- Develop shared components and patterns that improve consistency across products.
- Work with Payload CMS content while protecting performance, usability, and design quality.
- Integrate frontend applications with .NET APIs and third-party services.
- Use customer behaviour, analytics, and team feedback to improve shipped work.
- Test your work and help strengthen practical frontend quality standards.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to explore, build, and iterate efficiently.
- Review generated work carefully and remain accountable for every shipped change.
What we are looking for
- Strong production experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Evidence of owning meaningful frontend work from problem to release.
- Sound knowledge of semantic HTML, modern CSS, responsive design, and browser behaviour.
- A strong eye for composition, hierarchy, typography, interaction, and visual detail.
- Experience building accessible interfaces and applying WCAG guidance in practice.
- Confidence working with forms, validation, API data, loading states, and error handling.
- An understanding of frontend performance, maintainability, and reusable component design.
- Experience testing frontend behaviour with suitable automated and manual techniques.
- Confidence with Git, GitHub pull requests, code review, and CI/CD workflows.
- A practical AI-assisted workflow using tools such as Cursor, Codex, Claude, or equivalent.
- Good judgement about when to move quickly and when a customer journey needs deeper care.
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
We are hiring at mid-to-senior level, but we do not use years of experience as a rigid filter. We care more about the scope you have owned, the decisions you can explain, and the quality of what you have shipped.
Nice to watch
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and Radix or shadcn component patterns.
- Experience contributing to a shared component library or design system.
- Familiarity with Payload CMS or another headless content platform.
- Experience integrating with .NET APIs.
- Familiarity with Stripe and customer-facing commerce journeys.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar planning and documentation tools.
- Experience improving accessibility, performance, analytics, or conversion.
- Familiarity with regulated or identity-sensitive customer journeys.
Please share a portfolio, shipped product, code sample, or another example that shows how you approach frontend work. Tell us what you owned, the problem you addressed, and the decisions you made.
You do not need to meet every item to apply. If the role fits your strengths and direction, we would like to hear from you. We welcome applicants from different backgrounds and will make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
Must be eligible to work in the U.K.
Employees may be subject to a DBS check.
Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
