Front End Development Intern - Spring or Summer 2027

We are seeking a motivated and creative Front-End Developer Intern to join our IT and Marketing teams at our Milan, IL location. This internship is designed for students or recent graduates with a foundation in JavaScript who are eager to enhance their front-end development skills while contributing to both internal and external company websites. Interns will work closely with designers and developers to improve site functionality, user experience, and visual design.

Pay: $19.23/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the maintenance, debugging, and improvement of internal websites
• Participate in redesign and development of new internal site features
• Collaborate with design and development teams to implement responsive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces
• Integrate JavaScript-driven functionality and dynamic content into websites
• Participate in quality assurance, usability testing, and iterative improvements
• Support redesign and feature development for customer-facing external websites
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and adherence to branding standards
• Assist in version control and project management processes
• Participate in code reviews and team design sessions to learn best practices
• Prepare project documentation and maintain organized code repositories
• Perform additional development-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or related field
• Foundation in JavaScript and familiarity with front-end frameworks
• Interest in front-end web development and user experience design
• Internship, coursework, or project experience preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular preferred
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and web best practices
