Front End Engineer - 3D Visualisation

Purpose of the role

Augment builds physics-driven AI that predicts blast movement, showing mines where their ore went and cutting ore loss and dilution. .This role will own the web application for our products, including the performance and user experience of the application. With your experience in agentic engineering, you will supercharge how we deploy - taking features from intent to production rapidly, in an environment that moves fast and ships constantly.

Key responsibilities

3D web application development

• Build and own the front end of the web application: interactive 3D visualisation of mining data, rendered performantly in the browser.
• Be proficient across a range of modern front-end stacks and frameworks - such as React, Three.js and other WebGL-based libraries, TypeScript/JavaScript, and comparable tools.
• Build the surrounding application — UI, state, and the interactions that let users work with the models, not just view them.

Full-stack (highly desirable)

• Own the web front end end-to-end and take on the backend work that directly serves it — the APIs and services feeding the visualisation layer. This backend ownership is a strong plus; the essential work is the 3D web front end.

Agentic engineering

• Work within Augment's agentic engineering cadence: use the engineering harness and agent tooling to build and iterate, and orchestrate agent-run construction effectively.

Required skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience in building 3D modelling/visualisation software in production.
• Proven competence building performant, interactive 3D web applications.
• Proficiency across a range of modern front-end stacks and frameworks
• Experience in agentic engineering and demonstrated ability to do agent orchestration
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, shipping features and functionality rapidly.
• A portfolio demonstrating 3D-visualisation-software work. Must be able to provide link/s
