Our client is developing a Learning Management System (LMS) for an early-stage, yet-unnamed startup, targeting both students and staff. We are looking for an entry-level Front-End Developer to build the user interface and interactive experiences for their MVP product. The successful candidate will develop responsive dual-viewport interfaces for students and parents, integrate video and audio playback, build an interactive stroke-tracing canvas, display lesson plans pulled from a database, and bring the app's gamification elements to life. Given the sensitive nature of the company's intellectual property, this role will work within a clearly scoped front-end interface, separated from the backend, and successful candidates will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and IP-specific agreement prior to onboarding.

Level: Entry

Work Arrangement: Independent Contractor, Remote (WFH), 5-day work week, 40 hours per week

Working Days & Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM (SGT, SGT+8)
• Nightly check-in/report to the client between 8 PM – 10 PM (SGT, SGT+8)

Compensation Package: Salary (commensurate with Indonesian rates), Medical Leave & Monthly Day-Off

Salary Structure: The position includes an initial three (3) months of review period, during which the starting salary will be paid at 80%. This initial review period aims to thoroughly determine the suitability of remote talent in order to assess long-term employability or identify suitable replacements. Upon successful completion of the review period, the salary will be increased to 100% of the agreed amount.

Key Responsibilities

• Build responsive widescreen (Student) and mobile (Parent) interfaces from Figma designs.
• Display lesson plans and pull structured content from a database for the student interface.
• Integrate a video player with forward-skipping disabled, plus audio dictation playback queues.
• Build an interactive stroke-order tracing canvas with real-time visual feedback.
• Build a dynamic client-side PDF export for printable Tian Zige practice sheets.
• Render an interactive board game with animated dice rolls and real-time reward triggers.

Requirements

• 0–1 year of front‑end experience (fresh graduates strongly encouraged)

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related discipline

• Proficiency in translating Figma designs into responsive, production‑ready web interfaces

• Hands‑on experience with multimedia integration (video/audio playback) and Canvas‑based interactive visual feedback

• Working knowledge of client‑side PDF generation libraries

• Strong ability to leverage AI tools to boost development efficiency

• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal

• Willingness to sign a Non‑Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and IP‑specific agreement prior to onboarding

• Reliable internet connection and professional home workspace

• Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in EdTech and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Familiarity with React/Next.js
  • Experience building gamified or game-like interactive UI elements (e.g., animations, reward triggers)
  • Experience with drawing or tracing-based interactive tools
