Front End Loader Driver (Casual Bank Staff)

Portico Port Services is looking for experienced and reliable Front End Loader Drivers to join our team on a casual, ad-hoc basis. This role offers flexible work across Portsmouth, Newhaven, and Chichester, making it ideal for individuals seeking varied shifts and a flexible working pattern.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Front End Loader machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out pre-operation vehicle checks, identifying any mechanical or safety issues before use.
• Work on an ad-hoc basis across Portsmouth, Newhaven, and Chichester as required.
• Follow all site procedures and health & safety regulations whilst working within the aggregates sector.
• Accurately document work and vehicle checks where required.
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, or compliance issues promptly.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and associated regulations.
• Take direction from supervisors whilst also demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to work.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience operating a Front End Loader.
• Full UK Driving Licence (Category C or C+E).
• Good geographical knowledge of the areas in which you will be working.
• Experience using vehicle-related electronic weighing systems
• Experience manoeuvring vehicles safely into loading and unloading positions.
• Good knowledge of manual handling techniques.
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing circumstances such as production issues and adverse weather conditions.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

Hours & Pay

• Pay Rate: £17.09 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
• Contract Type: Casual Bank Work
• Pay: Weekly
• Shifts Available: Monday to Sunday
• Day Shifts: 07:00 - 18:00
• Night Shifts: 18:00 - 06:00
• Minimum Payment: 3 hours per shift
