Front End Software Engineer, Media Player

For our client, we are seeking a Front End Software Engineer, Media Player to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This role will focus on building and refining user-facing experiences that support high-traffic media functionality across web applications. You will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver polished features, improve performance, and ensure the underlying interfaces and APIs support a seamless experience. The position also involves contributing across the full development lifecycle while helping raise engineering quality and mentoring others on best practices.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $165,000 – $229,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to create engaging features
• Contribute to the entire development cycle: design, develop, test, and launch solutions
• Design full-stack solutions, optimizing media player interfaces and backend APIs
• Deliver high-quality results with minimal process overhead and few production bugs
• Review code and design documents, providing feedback on specifications
• Work with client and platform engineers to enhance media performance globally
• Establish best practices and mentor junior engineers for professional growth

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software development experience in general-purpose languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby
• Proficiency in modern web technologies including JavaScript, React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Experience with API design using GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, or Thrift
• Strong organizational and task prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills in a remote work environment
