Front End Supervisor

Duties

• Supervise front-end staff including cashiers, customer service associates, and sales assistants to ensure efficient store operations
• Oversee cashiering functions, including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, and customer transactions
• Lead employee orientation, training & development initiatives to enhance team performance and product knowledge
• Manage inventory control, stocking, merchandising, and pricing to optimize store presentation and sales opportunities
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Assist with recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in hiring decisions
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while managing budgets and store expenses

Skills

• Proven experience in supervising retail teams with strong leadership capabilities
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and employee motivation techniques
• Proficient in retail math for pricing, sales analysis, and inventory management
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling
• Experience with merchandising, marketing initiatives, and store presentation standards
• Ability to train staff on customer service excellence, phone etiquette, and store policies
• Demonstrated competence in managing shift schedules, budgeting, and administrative tasks
• Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous
