Front End Supervisor

Overview
Carmines Gourmet Market is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Front-End Supervisor. This role acts as a bridge between cashiers and management, ensuring a smooth flow of checkout operations and high-quality customer service.

Duties

• Assists with the daily scheduling and direct supervision of Front-End Team. Coordinates cashier break rotations and assigns floor duties.
• Maintains real-time awareness of customer check-out flows, opening additional lanes as needed to optimize service, and directly handles complex customer inquiries or returns.
• Develops, coaches, mentors, and motivates the team in a manner that sustains a high performing Team and minimizes turnover.
• Enforces and adheres to all applicable health, food safety, and local sanitation regulations within the front-end department.
• Must remain prepared to assist with duties inherent in to the Front-End Team during peak hours or staffing shortages.

Requirements

• Strong background in customer service and cash handling.
• Proven leadership capabilities or prior supervisory experience in a retail environment.
• Communication skills to direct a fast-paced team and manage customer relations effectively.
• Flexibility to work open, mid, and closing shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail software applications.
