Front Line/Receptionist/Salon Assistant

Essa Dora Salon & Spa is Chicago's premier full-service, boutique salon & spa, located in the heart of the beautiful Old Town neighborhood.

We are currently seeking a full-time Front Line/Receptionist/Salon Assistant that has a professional demeanor, is self-motivated, detail oriented, has the ability to multi-task and has excellent communication and customer service skills. Being that the person filling this position is the first and last impression of every guest entering and leaving the salon and spa, we seek highly skilled, well spoken and fashionable individuals with excellent phone etiquette.

The job description includes answering phones, scheduling appointments and making confirmation calls, checking clients in/out, monetary transactions, customer service duties, generally maintaining the front desk, along with assisting with basic housekeeping. A good front desk candidate will be able to deal with our wide range of clientele and do so in a calm, friendly, and professional manner. Higher education as well as previous customer service and/or salon experience is preferred.

We are a high volume salon, with our clients coming from all paths of life, ranging from business professionals, working and stay-home mothers, students, tourists and more! Our very experienced staff is positive, professional, creative, motivated and looking for the right person to join our dedicated team!

We carry high-end retail products including: Kerastase, Aveda, Dermalogica, ColorWow, Oligo, Rewined Candles, RevitaLash & BABOR.

Position is full-time and hourly pay. Salon/Spa experience is a plus, but not necessary.
