We are looking for someone who can manage multiple responsibilities, communicate professionally, and contribute to an efficient, productive office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes initiative, follows through on responsibilities, and understands the importance of accuracy and accountability.

This position requires someone who can work independently while supporting the needs of the entire team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient check-in, check-out, and daily front office operations.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and maintain professional communication.
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments to maintain productive provider schedules.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage limitations.
  • Prepare and review treatment estimates and discuss financial arrangements with patients.
  • Submit and track insurance claims, resolve outstanding claims, and post payments accurately.
  • Assist with patient billing, accounts receivable, and outstanding balance follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, insurance information, and documentation.
  • Coordinate patient referrals and correspondence as needed.
  • Monitor schedules, identify openings, and proactively assist with filling appointments.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members to maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities accurately and within established deadlines.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
  • Dependability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and follow established procedures.
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new software.
  • Willingness to accept feedback, adapt, and take accountability for assigned work.

Preferred:

  • Previous dental front office or administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and treatment procedures.
  • Experience with dental insurance verification, claims, and billing.
  • Experience with dental practice management software, preferably Dentrix Ascend.
  • Knowledge of patient scheduling and accounts receivable.

Dental experience is preferred but not required. We will consider candidates with strong administrative, customer service, scheduling, or billing backgrounds who demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn.

What We Expect

We value employees who are proactive, accountable, and committed to maintaining a productive workplace.

Successful team members:

  • Recognize what needs to be done and take action without constant direction.
  • Manage their responsibilities and follow through on outstanding tasks.
