We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Front Office Manager (FOM) to join our leadership team at Best Western Plus Launceston. In this unique role, you will work in partnership with our existing Front Office Manager, sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the Front Office department while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

About the Role

You’ll share management of day-to-day Front Office operations, including:

·       Guest Services, Reception, Concierge, Night Audit, and Telephones

·       Daily liaison with Housekeeping and Maintenance teams

·       Leading by example to uphold service excellence and team standards

·       Supporting the Hotel Manager with departmental objectives and performance targets

·       Acting as Duty Manager as required

Key Responsibilities

·       Ensure seamless guest check-in/check-out experiences

·       Deliver exceptional front desk service and guest relations

·       Maintain front office systems, procedures, and daily reconciliations

·       Monitor occupancy and reservations to maximise revenue

·       Assist with staff training, performance management, and rostering

·       Maintain communication and collaboration across all departments

·       Support budget management and operational reporting

·       Share in leadership duties with the existing Front Office Manager

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone with:

·       Minimum 2–3 years in a hotel front office leadership role

·       A collaborative approach to management and communication

·       Strong organisational and time-management skills

·       Sound knowledge of front office systems (e.g. PMS, POS, reservations)

·       Confidence in handling guest concerns and problem resolution

·       A genuine commitment to delivering a high-quality guest experience

·       Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
