Front Office Representative I - FT

The Front Office Representative I is responsible for greeting patients, managing check-ins and check-outs, answering phones, and providing excellent customer service. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals beginning their career in healthcare administration.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet patients warmly and professionally and consistently creates a positive patient experience
• Phreesia registration
• Accurately check patients in and out using the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Collect and verify insurance information and patient demographics
• Collect co-pays and balances at the time of service
• Answer incoming calls and direct messages appropriately
• Schedule appointments and follow-up visits according to protocol
• Coordinate rescheduling, cancellations, and no-show follow-ups
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits in advance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office
• Provide general administrative support to the office team
• Adhere to patient privacy and HIPAA regulations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in a customer-facing or administrative role preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency
