Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and attentive listening.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience.
• Upsell products and suggest complementary items to increase sales and meet store goals.
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Follow phone etiquette protocols when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone.
• Support inventory management by participating in stocking activities and conducting stock counts as needed.
• Demonstrate supervisory skills by guiding new team members or assisting with team coordination when required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs.
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor and an ability to focus on details while taking a customer's order.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience working in a grocery environment is beneficial.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 35.0 per week
