Frontend Developer | CRO & Experimentation

I’m working with a growing marketing and technology business looking for a Frontend Developer who wants to build a career in conversion rate optimisation (CRO).

This is a development-first role with a clear opportunity to learn. You’ll work alongside an experienced CRO Lead, building experiments across high-traffic websites while developing your understanding of testing, user behaviour and CRO strategy.

You don’t need previous CRO experience. The priority is strong frontend development ability and a genuine desire to move into this area.

The role

The business operates B2B and B2C tech platforms, with significant investment in paid marketing. Your work will support the forms and customer journeys that turn that traffic into enquiries.

You’ll be:

• Building and deploying A/B tests using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• Making client-side changes through DOM manipulation.

• Improving forms, layouts and interactions across desktop and mobile.

• Debugging and testing experiments to ensure they work accurately and reliably.

• Working with the CRO Lead to turn testing ideas into working experiences.

• Collaborating with development and marketing teams.

• Learning how experiments are planned, measured and used to inform future improvements.

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial frontend development experience, ideally three years or more.

• Confident JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills.

• A solid understanding of the DOM and client-side JavaScript.

• Experience building responsive, user-friendly web interfaces.

• Good attention to detail when testing and troubleshooting your work.

• Curiosity about user behaviour and the commercial impact of development.

• A genuine interest in progressing into CRO and experimentation.

React or Vue experience is welcome, but strong JavaScript fundamentals are particularly important here.

Any exposure to A/B testing, analytics, form optimisation or experimentation platforms would be useful, but isn’t essential. You won’t be expected to arrive with CRO strategy experience or an established testing track record.
