What they need
Who you are
- We’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences, writing clean and maintainable code, and solving complex frontend challenges
- If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment, value continuous learning, and want to help shape the future of payments at Phorest, we’d love to hear from you
- 4 - 8+ years' professional experience with React, Ember.js, or another modern JavaScript framework
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, modern front-end development, and web fundamentals
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a bonus)
- Able to evaluate technical trade-offs and contribute to architectural and engineering decisions
- Committed to writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code with a strong focus on quality and engineering excellence
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence technical direction and raise engineering standards across the team
- Experience with Ember.js (or a willingness to learn it, as it's the team's primary framework)
- Background in payments, fintech, or e-commerce
- Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalised folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit
