Frontend Tech Lead / Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Frontend Tech Lead / Senior Full Stack Engineer to pioneer the next generation of our mobile and web applications. In this dual-impact role, you will serve as our frontend technical authority—owning the architecture of our cross-platform mobile apps and web platforms—while managing a small team of engineers. You will drive feature development from Figma designs to production deployment, leveraging robust backend architectures across Azure, Node.js, and .NET.

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Serve as the Frontend Tech Lead, establishing architecture, code quality standards, and modern deployment workflows across mobile and web platforms.
• Mobile & Web Engineering: Lead the end-to-end development of cross-platform applications using React Native (Expo) and responsive web interfaces using React.
• App Store Management: Own the end-to-end mobile release lifecycle, navigating Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console deployments, provisioning, and compliance.
• Backend Integration: Design and optimize backend services and data layers using Node.js and .NET (with Python as a valuable asset).
• System Architecture: Architect highly scalable, asynchronous distributed systems utilizing messaging patterns like the Transactional Outbox pattern, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
• People Management: Manage, mentor, and unblock a small engineering team, conducting code reviews, facilitating technical growth, and aligning sprint goals.
• Design & UI/UX Excellence: Partner closely with product designers, utilizing your Figma experience to translate complex UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect, reusable component libraries.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 4+ years of full-stack software engineering and architecting distributed solutions.
• Expert Mobile Skills: Advanced, comprehensive skill set in React Native and the Expo ecosystem (Expo Application Services, OTA updates, native modules).
• Frontend Excellence: Strong proficiency in React, state management, and modern frontend styling/performance optimization.
• Polyglot Backend & Architecture: Strong hands-on experience with both Node.js and .NET ecosystems. Deep understanding of advanced frontend and backend design patterns.
• Database Mastery: Production experience navigating diverse data layers, including MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Azure & DevOps Ecosystem: Deep familiarity with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, boards) and the Azure Portal (App Services, functions, service bus, or queue management).
• Design & UI/UX Excellence:
• Own the visual quality and end-to-end user experience of Klooqi's mobile and web applications, delivering polished, intuitive, and engaging interfaces.
• Translate product requirements into Figma designs and production-ready experiences, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve existing designs and user journeys.
• Establish and maintain a reusable frontend design system, including UI components, design tokens, typography, spacing, and interaction patterns.
• Build smooth, responsive, and performant interfaces, with particular attention to mobile usability, image presentation, animations, transitions, and loading and error states.
• Collaborate with product and design stakeholders to continuously improve key customer journeys, including food discovery, storefront browsing, product customization, and checkout.
• Maintain a high bar for visual consistency, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability across mobile and web platforms

• Experience with Python for data processing.

Pay: ₦350,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
