Frontend tester

Help deliver a high-quality online shopping experience as we test our new ecommerce website.

This three-month fixed-term, full-time role contract is an opportunity to join the Harvey Norman Ecommerce team at our Manukau Head Office and support the delivery of our new ecommerce website. You will write test scripts, complete frontend testing and coordinate business testers to help deliver a reliable online experience.

About the Role
You will work with developers, designers, business stakeholders and technology partners to test key customer journeys, document defects and support approval and sign-off decisions.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, scenarios and scripts from business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Test search, navigation, product pages, cart, checkout, payments, customer accounts and order confirmation.
• Test across browsers, devices and screen sizes.
• Validate presentation and interactions against approved designs, content and accessibility requirements.
• Document and prioritise defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, progress tracking and issue follow-up.
• Communicate quality risks, blockers and delays early.

About You
You are an organised, detail-focused tester who communicates clearly, works well with stakeholders and takes ownership of issues. You stay calm when priorities shift and deliver to deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience writing test scripts and completing structured website testing.
• Good knowledge of New Zealand ecommerce and customer expectations.
• Experience coordinating website testers or user acceptance testing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Large retail organisation experience and Shopify knowledge would be an advantage.
