Fry Cook

Job Summary

Pasta Amore is looking for a dependable Fry Cook to support the kitchen team with consistent, high-quality food preparation during busy service periods. The ideal candidate is comfortable working around hot equipment, follows recipes and safety procedures carefully, and maintains an organized workstation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fried menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
• Operate fryers and related kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor cooking times, oil temperature, and food quality throughout service.
• Maintain proper portion sizes and consistent presentation.
• Prepare ingredients and stock the fry station before service.
• Coordinate with cooks and kitchen staff to keep orders moving on time.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Keep the fryer area, equipment, and workstation clean throughout the shift.
• Monitor ingredient and supply levels and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous fry cook, line cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Basic understanding of safe fryer and hot-food equipment operation.
• Strong attention to food quality, timing, and cleanliness.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working around heat.
• Food-handler certification is a plus.

Pasta Amore is a locally owned Italian restaurant in Omaha's Rockbrook Village area, located at 11027 Prairie Brook Rd. The restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine and has been serving the Omaha community for many years.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 31.0 per week
