Fry Cook

Job Summary

Pizza Twist is seeking a dependable and hardworking Fry Cook to join our kitchen team. This position will prepare fried foods and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient cooking station during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

Prepare fried food items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Operate commercial fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistent food quality.
Prepare ingredients and maintain adequate supplies throughout service.
Ensure food is cooked properly and presented according to restaurant standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked cooking station.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.
Assist with preparation of other menu items as needed.
Check food quality, portion sizes, and presentation before items are served.
Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, and other restaurant team members.
Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning duties.
Work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner, and weekend service periods.

Qualifications

Previous fry cook, line cook, kitchen, or restaurant experience preferred.
Experience operating commercial fryers is a plus.
Knowledge of food-safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and food quality.
Ability to follow recipes and preparation procedures accurately.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week

Work Location: In person
