Fry Cook

Reggae Cuisine is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations and assist the food preparation team. This role involves preparing ingredients, organizing kitchen supplies, maintaining clean workstations, washing kitchen equipment, and helping ensure food orders are prepared efficiently. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to cleanliness, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and routine kitchen tasks.
• Wash, peel, cut, and organize ingredients as directed.
• Prepare ingredients and supplies for daily food service.
• Assist with assembling food orders and maintaining order accuracy.
• Follow recipe instructions and food preparation guidelines.
• Keep kitchen counters, workstations, and preparation areas clean and organized.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Restock ingredients, containers, and kitchen supplies.
• Help receive, store, and organize food deliveries.
• Remove trash and maintain proper kitchen sanitation.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and routine kitchen cleaning duties.
• Communicate supply needs and kitchen concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Work cooperatively with cooks and other restaurant employees during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, café, or food-service experience is helpful but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and organization.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• Able to perform routine kitchen duties throughout a shift.
