Job Description

China City Restaurant & Lounge – Oak Harbor is currently seeking a motivated, dependable Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing Asian cuisine. Experience in fine dining is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook fried menu items to order
• Operate and maintain deep fryers and other kitchen equipment
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality
• Assist with food preparation and ingredient stocking
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
• Work efficiently with the kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent food preparation
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of kitchen experience preferred
• Previous experience operating commercial deep fryers preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
• Self-motivated, dependable, and hardworking
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Full-time (40 hours) and part-time positions available.

Compensation:

$20–$23 per hour, plus tips
