Fry Cook

Job Summary:

Darling Jack's Tavern is seeking a reliable and hardworking Fry Cook to join its kitchen team. The ideal candidate can prepare fried foods efficiently, maintain consistent food quality, and keep the kitchen clean and organized. This role is important to ensuring that food orders are prepared safely, accurately, and on time during busy restaurant shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare fried foods and menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality.
• Prepare ingredients and maintain adequate supplies during service.
• Coordinate with cooks and kitchen staff to complete orders promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized cooking stations.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures.
• Assist with kitchen opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Report equipment issues and low inventory to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen or fry cook experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and time management.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends when needed.
