FSQA HEAD

Role & responsibilities

Owns execution of food safety and quality assurance across all three plants hold and release, lab, incoming raw materials, in-process QC, customer complaints, and CAPA execution reporting directly to the MD so that food safety can never be overruled by production or commercial pressure.

Own hold-and-release decisions on finished goods across all units,

– Own the QA/FSQA lab, incoming raw-material inspection, and in-process quality control at every plant — including lab equipment calibration and management of external testing laboratories.

– Own customer complaint handling and drive CAPA execution — the fix — for every quality issue raised, whether internal, customer-flagged, or arising from a market rejection.

– Own supplier quality on the execution side — vendor qualification, supplier quality audits, supplier scorecards, and corrective-action follow-through with suppliers on raw-material non-conformances.

– Own retention samples and shelf-life verification across all three plants.

– Lead the plant QA/FSQA Managers, each of whom also holds the site Food Safety Team Leader role under BRC.

– Deliver a weekly quality review directly to the MD.

– Own the fix side of the audit CAPA RACI: FSQA is responsible for corrective action; FSMS is accountable for verifying and closing it.

– Maintain a dotted functional line to the Head, Technical & Business Excellence for cross-functional alignment, without diluting direct accountability to the MD.

Preferred candidate profile

– Sound food-safety and quality judgment under pressure, including the willingness to stop a line.

– Strong command of lab, incoming-RM, and in-process QC systems, external laboratory management, and supplier quality assessment.

– Customer-facing complaint and CAPA management.

Comfortable operating independently and escalating directly to the MD
