- Serve as a primary FSQA contact during USDA and FDA interactions and support regulatory inspections.
- Lead or participate in internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
- Address audit findings and nonconformances through documented corrective actions.
- Communicate significant risks and recurring trends to the Director of FSQA and plant leadership.
Product and Process Quality
- Oversee pre-operational inspections, in-process checks, finished-product evaluations, and testing.
- Manage product holds, investigations, releases, rework, and disposition according to established procedures.
- Investigate complaints, process deviations, out-of-specification results, and other food safety or quality concerns.
- Review FSQA data to identify trends, reduce recurring issues, and improve product consistency.
Testing and Sanitation Verification
- Coordinate external laboratory services, sampling plans, testing schedules, and required calibrations.
- Oversee microbiological testing, finished-product testing, and shelf-life studies.
