Fuel System Installer

If you’re a Mechanical Fitter or Welder Fabricator who enjoys getting out on site, working with your hands and taking real ownership of your work, this could be a great opportunity. We’re working with a well established New Zealand business that has been operating for over 40+ years and specialises in fuel systems, tank installations and petroleum projects nationwide.
  
This is a hands on role where you’ll be working across fuel system installations, tank fitting, TIG welding, testing and general site work. The team works on projects across the country, so there is a fair amount of travel involved, and you’ll need to be comfortable being away from home.
  
The company is well known for taking ownership of their work and doing things properly, with a strong focus on safety, compliance and quality. You’ll be working as part of a small, down to earth team where everyone pitches in and gets the job done.

The role
This is a hands on role with around 80% away work across New Zealand. You’ll be involved in fuel system fitting and installation, TIG welding, general fabrication, testing and commissioning, fault diagnostics on pumps, while working from drawings and plans.
  
There will also be some concreting and general site work involved, working alongside the wider team to get projects completed safely and to a high standard. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work, use your initiative and make sure the job is done properly.
  
What you’ll bring

• Mechanical fitting, fabrication, strong TIG welding ability
• Experience working from drawings
• Good practical nous and the ability to figure things out on site
• High standards when it comes to quality and workmanship
• Comfortable working away from home regularly
• A good attitude and willingness to get stuck in
