Fuel Transloading Operator | Graveyard

Valley Pacific Petroleum Services is looking for a Part-Time Fuel Transload Equipment Operator, for our Visalia facility working Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, with an emphasis on attention to detail. A self-starter who operates effectively with little supervision, will find tremendous success in this position. Job duties also include working hands on with petroleum equipment; including but not limited to tanks, hoses, meters, drums and pails.

1. Basic math and counting comprehension. Basic to intermediate computer skills, including email. Knowledge of the petroleum industry is a plus.

2. Acts in accordance with the company's code of ethics and mission statement.

3. Able & willing to respond to emergencies, urgent or unusual situations. (spill/mix cleanups, fires, accidents, urgent customer demands, weekend, holiday, & overnight assignments.

4. Remains calm in demanding situations; Able to accept constructive criticism without becoming defensive

5. Has a nearly perfect attendance record.

6. Image: Personally clean, well-groomed and uniformed.

7. Knowledgeable, friendly and courteous to customers & suppliers.

8. Maintains a good working relationship with all drivers, dispatchers, and management. Courteously and efficiently receives instructions and orders

9. Able and willing to do special assignments or tasks when needed.

10. Communication is clear, concise, and understandable in communicating with others.

11. Knowledge of operating a Yard Dog is required. Takes good care of company equipment (keeps in good operable condition) no rough treatment, misuse or abuse.

12. Understands and follows all loading and unloading procedures, processes, and policies.

13. Turns all required paperwork and documentation in timely, legibly, and accurately.

14. Safely and efficiently carries out all assignments, does not waste time or company resources.
