What they need
Who We Are
Elevate Teams is a fast-growing U.S. company that connects independent insurance agencies with highly skilled bilingual virtual assistants from Latin America. We help agencies scale their operations while creating meaningful remote career opportunities for talented professionals around the world.
Elevate Teams is building a new web product for independent insurance agencies. It has work queues, intake, a process library, dashboards, and AI agents that draft work for people to approve. You would be the first engineer on it and you would own a lane: a whole area of the product, from database to screen.
What you will do
- Build screens and server code in Next.js and React.
- Design tenant-safe tables so one agency can never see another agency’s data.
- Write the tests that prove it.
- Review the code Claude Code writes for you and for others.
Must-haves
- Strong TypeScript, Next.js App Router and React
- Postgres and SQL you can write by hand
- Supabase Auth and row-level security (RLS)
- Multi-tenant data isolation, and how to test it
- Testing with Vitest and Playwright
- Daily use of an AI coding tool, with proof you review its output
- Clear written English and daily async updates
Nice-to-haves
- Vercel deployments and preview environments
- Background jobs and queues
- Insurance or agency software experience
- Accessible, responsive UI work
- Writing short design notes before building
How we work
- Every change is built with Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding agent, on a pull request.
- A planning model plans, an executing model builds, and a human reviews.
- Pull requests stay small: one per merge lane. CI must be green before anything merges.
- Nobody holds production secrets or direct production database access. Work happens through pull requests, preview environments and synthetic data.
- You will review AI-written code, and you must be able to explain every line you approve.
Where and when
- Remote. Candidates overseas are welcome.
- Contractor engagement, full-time.
- Overlap: at least 4 hours with US Eastern Time, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM ET, Monday to Friday.
- C1 English, written and spoken. You will write a short async update every working day.
What We Offer
- $30–$50/hour ($5,220–$8,700/month), based on experience
- Fully remote opportunity
- High-growth environment with career advancement opportunities
- Fast-moving and supportive team culture
- Opportunity to make a direct impact
- PTO and U.S. holiday benefits
- Additional team perks and wellness benefits after probation period
- Anniversary and birthday bonuses
- Employee support programs and financing options
Success in This Role
A successful Full-Stack AI Engineer will take full ownership of their lane, turn product ideas into secure, well-tested features, protect every agency’s data as if it were their own, and set the standard for how AI-written code is reviewed and shipped.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on building from the ground up, enjoys working alongside AI tools without blindly trusting them, and takes pride in shipping clean, reliable software that real businesses depend on.
