We are hiring a full-stack developer with strong AI engineering skills to own the applications, tools, and digital products we build in-house, end to end.

This is a hands-on ownership role. You will design and build our own web applications, internal tools and AI features, take them from prototype to production, keep them reliable and secure once live, and turn ideas into working products. You will also work alongside our existing engineers on the larger products we are building.

This is a role for someone who works fluently with AI development tools as a core part of how they operate. We expect you to use AI not just to write code faster, but to read and understand systems quickly, reason about technical decisions, and ship AI features with confidence. You also verify what the tools produce: you test it, probe it, and can explain what they got wrong and how you caught it. That fluency is central to the role.

This is a fully remote opportunity, operating in UK timezone.

Working: 5.5 days per week. Monday - Friday: 9am - 6pm UK time. Saturday: 9am - 1:30pm UK time.

The Role

You will:

* Design, build, and ship our own web applications, tools, and digital products end to end, across the full stack (React / Next.js front end, plus Node / TypeScript APIs, PostgreSQL, integrations, and auth).

* Build AI features into real products: LLM integrations, RAG, agents and structured outputs, with validation, fallbacks and evaluation so they hold up in production, not just in a demo.

* Own the back end and data layer of what you build: schema design, migrations, transactions, background jobs, webhooks, and third-party integrations (payments, messaging, email).

* Keep what we ship healthy once it is live: performance, reliability, security, uptime, monitoring, and fixes.

* Read, review and harden code you did not write, including code produced with AI tools, before it reaches production.

* Build high-quality, responsive front ends when the feature needs it, to a solid standard of polish, performance, and accessibility.

* Deploy and run what you build (Vercel, Google Cloud Run, Docker, CI/CD) and keep environments, secrets and pipelines tidy.

* Use AI development tools fluently throughout your work, to build, to understand unfamiliar code quickly, and to move fast without losing rigour.

* Turn early ideas into working prototypes fast, and take the ones that work through to production.

What we're looking for

* 3+ years building full-stack web applications, with a portfolio of live work you can speak to in depth.

* Strong, current full-stack skills: TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, APIs, auth, and integrations, with real back-end and data depth.

* Hands-on experience building and running AI features in production: LLM APIs, RAG, agents, prompt and output validation, evaluation, and the failure modes that come with them.

* A solid grasp of what goes wrong in real systems: authorisation on every data path, input validation, idempotency, concurrency, secrets, and logging.

* Demonstrable, fluent use of AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow, including using them to read and understand unfamiliar codebases quickly, and to check their own output.

* Clear communication and the confidence to explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly, in writing and in conversation, to technical and non-technical people.

* Comfort working independently in a remote, UK-timezone team and owning delivery end to end.
