Full Stack Developer - Angular / Python (P&C Insurance)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Angular and Python to join a collaborative technology team supporting enterprise applications.

This is a hands-on development role for someone who is comfortable working across both the front end and back end of an application. The ideal candidate can take business requirements, translate them into functional solutions, rapidly develop user interfaces, build scalable back-end services and APIs, and independently deliver high-quality work with limited oversight.

This is not a role for someone who has only worked at the architectural or strategic level. We are looking for a developer who enjoys building, coding, troubleshooting, and delivering working software.

What You'll Do

• Independently design, develop, and deliver front-end and back-end application components.
• Build modern, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Translate business requirements and concepts into functional UI prototypes and production-ready applications.
• Develop and maintain Python-based back-end services, APIs, and integrations.
• Integrate Angular applications with REST APIs and enterprise systems.
• Develop reusable components and maintain clean, scalable, maintainable code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications across the full technology stack.
• Work within established architecture, development standards, and coding best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA professionals, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned development work from concept through completion.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in full-stack software development with expertise in Angular (or similar JavaScript frameworks) and Python programming languages
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), Linux environments, and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus for integrating backend systems; knowledge of Java, C++, VBA or C is advantageous for diverse technical challenges
• Solid grasp of RESTful API development, system design principles, design patterns, and scalable system architecture
• Experience working within Agile software development methodologies; proficient with version control tools such as GitHub, GitLab, SVN or similar systems
• Knowledge of application development best practices including CI/CD pipelines, software engineering principles, and security protocols like RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities; excellent problem-solving skills

Ideal Candidate

You are a versatile, hands-on developer who is equally comfortable building a polished Angular user interface and developing the Python services behind it.

You don't need extensive direction to get started. You can evaluate existing code and architecture, understand the business requirement, determine an appropriate technical solution, and execute.

You enjoy taking ownership of your work and delivering reliable, maintainable applications rather than simply handing requirements to another development team.

Pay: $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
