About the Role

AssistHealth is looking for a Full Stack Developer to help build and scale our healthcare continuity platform.

You will work across frontend, backend, databases, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and modern AI integrations. You’ll work closely with product and business stakeholders to turn real-world requirements into secure, scalable, production-ready software.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems independently, and using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining strong engineering standards.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain scalable web applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
• Develop responsive interfaces using React.js, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Build backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and REST APIs.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB databases.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, and RBAC.
• Deploy and manage applications using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFront, and Route53.
• Integrate LLM APIs and develop AI-powered product features.
• Build RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector search, and document retrieval systems.
• Develop AI agents and agentic workflows for automation and productivity.
• Work with technologies such as FAISS, Pinecone, ChromaDB, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or equivalent tools.
• Integrate third-party services including payment gateways, messaging platforms, and healthcare-related APIs.
• Use AI coding tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Windsurf while taking ownership of code quality and architecture.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and documented code.
• Follow Git workflows, code reviews, CI/CD, sprint planning, and release processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
• Handle sensitive healthcare and financial information using appropriate security practices.

• Strong interest in using AI to improve engineering productivity without compromising software quality.
