About the Client

Our client is a leading global transportation and logistics provider, and its technology team builds and runs the systems behind its operations. It is growing its web development team in Mysuru, which creates and maintains web-based extensions to the company’s core line-of-business applications.

The Role

We’re looking for a back-end-oriented full-stack developer to join an established web development team. The work centres on data integrity, business logic and back-end processing, not presentation. If you’re strongest in PHP, SQL Server and APIs, and comfortable enough on the front end to deliver complete features, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Build and extend features for customer-facing and internal web applications.
• Design and optimise MS-SQL / T-SQL databases, queries and stored logic.
• Develop and extend REST APIs that provide data to internal systems.
• Integrate with third-party APIs.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable, maintainable web systems.
• Tune queries and application performance and protect data integrity.
• Support and maintain existing applications.
• Work in an Agile team: assess requirements, estimate scope and deliver in iterative milestones.

What You’ll Bring

Essential

• 3+ years of professional software development.
• Strong PHP development in an enterprise environment using modern frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter.
• Solid relational database skills, ideally MS-SQL / T-SQL: complex queries, table design, and reading query plans to optimise performance.
• API development and system integration experience.
• Good grasp of OOP, design patterns and web services.
• JavaScript and front-end fundamentals (jQuery or similar).
• Git and familiarity with CI/CD deployment.
• Agile team experience.

Desirable

• Deep T-SQL experience: stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning.
• Vue or React.
• MySQL alongside SQL Server.
• Experience designing scalable back-end architectures.
• Logistics or line-of-business application experience.
