Full Stack Developer – Backend Focus

About the Role
Sidat Technologies & Digital is looking for a Backend-focused Full Stack Developer to build and scale server-side systems on the Node.js ecosystem, including AI-powered features such as chatbots and AI-assisted workflows. You'll contribute to the front end when needed. We're looking for 1+ year of hands-on experience and a track record of shipping independent projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, Fastify, and Express.js
• Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL (or equivalent: FastAPI), covering schema design, queries, and optimization
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data handling
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal services
• Build AI/LLM-powered features using tools like the OpenAI API or LangChain
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker; CI/CD exposure is a plus
• Contribute to front-end work using Next.js, React.js, HTML, CSS, Tailwind, and JavaScript
• Write clean, scalable, well-documented code and collaborate with the wider team

Requirements

• 1+ year of MERN Stack experience, with a strong emphasis on backend
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
• Solid experience in API design and integration, database design, and authentication (JWT/OAuth)
• Working knowledge of Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with Git-based workflows
• Exposure to AI/LLM tooling (OpenAI API, LangChain, prompt engineering) is a strong plus
• Basic familiarity with Docker/cloud deployment (AWS or similar) is a plus
• 2–3 independent or portfolio projects you can discuss in detail
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write and reason about your own code; AI coding tools are welcome as an aid, not a substitute
