About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Developer to join our Technology & Digital team in Dubai. This is not a pure application support role. We need someone who is comfortable working across both existing/legacy business applications and modern web platforms.

The successful candidate will help maintain, troubleshoot and improve existing PHP-based business applications while also contributing to the development of new web applications, websites, e-commerce platforms, APIs and integrations. You should be comfortable investigating existing code, identifying root causes, working with databases and APIs, and developing modern, maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, troubleshoot and enhance existing PHP-based business applications.
• Investigate application issues directly in the code and identify root causes.
• Develop and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Build and support modern web applications using React and Next.js.
• Support corporate websites, country websites, e-commerce platforms and customer-facing portals.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, integrations and webhooks.
• Integrate websites and applications with ERP, CRM, payment, Microsoft and third-party platforms.
• Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL databases, including troubleshooting, queries and performance optimisation.
• Participate in the gradual modernisation of legacy applications.
• Support application testing, UAT, releases and deployments.
• Investigate production issues using logs, debugging tools and database analysis.
• Use Git for source control and follow appropriate branching and code-review practices.
• Use Jira for development tasks, bugs, sprint planning and issue tracking.
• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot applications in AWS and cloud environments.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external developers to deliver technical solutions.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and automate repetitive work.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools where appropriate while maintaining code quality and security.

Required Experience & Skills

• 4+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong hands-on PHP development experience, including maintaining or debugging existing/legacy PHP applications.
• Strong JavaScript experience.
• Good SQL, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with application integrations and third-party APIs.
• Experience with Git.
• Professional experience using Jira or similar development/project tracking tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS.
• Strong debugging, root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable reading and understanding an existing codebase, not only building new applications.
• Experience supporting production business applications.

Highly Desirable

• React and/or Next.js.
• TypeScript and Node.js.
• E-commerce development and payment integrations.
• CMS or headless CMS platforms, including Builder.io or similar.
• Docker and CI/CD.
• AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Authentication, OAuth and application security.
• ERP and CRM integrations.
• Experience modernising legacy applications or progressively migrating functionality to a modern architecture.
• AI-assisted software development tools and automation.

What We Are Looking For

We want a developer who can build and troubleshoot, not someone who only passes issues to another development team. You should be comfortable opening an unfamiliar application, tracing how it works, investigating the database and logs, identifying the problem and proposing or implementing the correct solution.

At the same time, you should be interested in modern technologies and capable of contributing to the next generation of our digital platforms.

Pay: AED1.00 - AED123.00 per month
