Full Stack Developer

Overview

We’re partnering with a progressive healthcare organisation based in Fortitude Valley to find an experienced Full Stack Developer. You’ll help deliver digital solutions that support patient and clinician experiences, operational efficiency, and secure access to critical information. This role suits someone who enjoys working across the full stack, taking features from idea through to delivery, and producing clean, scalable solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.

The team is actively adopting AI-assisted development practices and uses AI tooling in their workflow, including Gemini for coding support (and similar tools) to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and streamline problem solving.

About the role

You will join an Agile product team building and enhancing modern applications used across a healthcare environment. You’ll contribute across the full software lifecycle, from concept and design through development, testing, and deployment, working closely with engineers, QA, product, and business stakeholders.

Java is the core back-end language, and Angular 12+ is used on the front end. The work is focused on building secure, reliable, maintainable systems where quality and data protection matter.

What you will be doing

• Building responsive, component-based front-end applications using Angular 12+
• Developing and maintaining back-end services using Java (Spring Boot highly regarded)
• Integrating with RESTful APIs and service-based architectures (microservices exposure beneficial)
• Contributing to secure-by-design practices and high-quality engineering standards
• Participating in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
• Translating user and business needs into practical, well-designed technical outcomes
• Writing clean, well-tested, maintainable code across both front end and back end
• Using AI-assisted tools (including Gemini) for coding support such as refactoring, debugging, scaffolding, and documentation, while applying strong engineering judgement

About you

• Solid commercial experience with Java
• Strong Angular 12+ / TypeScript experience (RxJS, NgRx)
• Spring Boot experience is highly regarded
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern delivery practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Collaborative communication style and a quality mindset
• Interest in UI/UX and building accessible, user-friendly interfaces
• Exposure to regulated or sensitive-data environments is a plus
