About The Company We are a digital healthcare technology company developing scalable solutions for hospital care and patient monitoring. Our mission is to deliver patient-centred, data-driven technologies that help healthcare professionals improve clinical outcomes, enhance patient safety, increase operational efficiency, and deliver measurable economic value.
About The Product Our product is a wireless remote patient-monitoring platform with an early-warning system for hospitals and healthcare organisations. It includes:
- Patient wearable sensors and medical devices that capture physiological parameters and transmit data using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
- A tablet-based Patient Gateway that collects sensor data, communicates with the backend through Wi-Fi, and supports bedside clinical and operational data entry.
- A Microsoft technology-based backend that receives, processes, stores, and presents patient data from multiple hospital wards and facilities.
- APIs and interfaces for integration with hospital information systems, electronic medical-record systems, medical devices, and third-party platforms.
The platform is designed for regulated healthcare environments, with appropriate attention to cybersecurity, reliability, data privacy, patient safety, and applicable healthcare and medical-device standards.
Role Overview We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer / Technology Architect to help design, develop, integrate, and scale our healthcare technology platform. The successful candidate will work across application development, backend services, databases, cloud infrastructure, APIs, device integrations, and technical architecture. This is a hands-on role requiring strong development skills, practical architectural judgement, and the ability to work with product, clinical, regulatory, quality, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web, backend, and integration solutions for the healthcare platform.
- Contribute to application and solution architecture, including technology evaluations and technical designs.
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, business logic, and data-processing workflows.
- Build user-facing applications and dashboards using appropriate frontend technologies.
- Design and optimise relational and time-series databases, queries, and data-access layers.
- Develop integrations with medical devices, IoT devices, hospital systems, and third-party platforms.
- Work with BLE- and API-based integrations and real-time data-acquisition workflows where applicable.
- Design secure, reliable, and observable microservices and API-based systems.
- Deploy and maintain applications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or comparable cloud environments.
- Contribute to Android and/or iOS application development or integration as required.
- Apply appropriate practices for authentication, authorisation, encryption, logging, monitoring, backup, and data protection.
- Investigate and resolve application, integration, performance, and production issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, release planning, and continuous improvement.
- Work within the company’s quality-management, software-development, cybersecurity, and regulatory processes.
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, electronics, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3–4 years of relevant experience in software development, full-stack development, solution engineering, or software architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one backend stack, preferably C#/.NET/ASP.NET Core, Java/Spring Boot, or Python.
- Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, service-oriented architecture, relational databases, object-oriented design, Git, testing, and debugging.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or a comparable cloud platform.
- Understanding of application security, networking fundamentals, authentication, authorisation, and secure API design.
- Ability to convert functional requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Healthcare, hospital information systems, digital health, or medical-device software.
- Medical-device, IoT, sensor, gateway, or edge-device integrations.
- Bluetooth Low Energy, device communication, or real-time data acquisition.
- HL7, FHIR, DICOM, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Healthcare data privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA-related principles or equivalent frameworks.
- FDA, CE/MDR, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 81001-5-1, or other regulated software environments.
- Time-series databases and high-frequency physiological data.
- Message brokers, event-driven architecture, streaming technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code.
- Android or iOS development and monitoring/observability tools.
- Mirth Connect or similar healthcare integration engines.
Core Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Practical architectural judgement and ownership of deliverables from design through deployment.
- Ability to balance speed, maintainability, reliability, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Attention to detail when working with clinical and patient-related data.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn healthcare workflows, clinical requirements, and regulated-product development practices.
Collaboration And Additional Information The role works closely with product, software development, QA, clinical, regulatory, quality, implementation, and customer-support teams. Occasional travel to customer sites, hospitals, implementation locations, or partner facilities may be required.
