Full Stack Developer

About the Role
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team building MAI Health's patient, provider, and admin platforms. You'll work across the stack from responsive front-end interfaces to backend APIs and database design — shipping features used directly by patients, doctors, labs, and pharmacies.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain web applications across front-end and back-end
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs connecting portals, services, and third-party systems
• Work with relational/NoSQL databases for data modeling, queries, and performance
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into shipped features
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Debug, optimize, and scale existing systems as the platform grows
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps) in an office-first setup

Must-Have Skills

• 1–5 years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Front-end: React.js (or similar modern framework)
• Back-end: Node.js (or equivalent server-side framework)
• Experience with REST API design and integration
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Version control (Git) and standard software engineering practices
• B.Tech/B.E./MCA or equivalent in Computer Science or related field

Good to Have

• Experience in healthcare-tech, fintech, or other regulated/data-sensitive domains
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Docker
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of API security and data privacy best practices

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
• Comfortable working from office, in a fast-paced startup environment
• Good communication and collaboration skills
