Full Stack Developer

About us

Simple Solutions is a software company based in Pécs and Budapest that builds enterprise systems, mainly for telecommunications companies. We are looking for colleagues for our newly formed enterprise software development unit, where modern, AI-assisted development meets the continued development of existing legacy systems. You get the tools of the future and the challenges of a real business environment at the same time. That is a rare combination, and you learn a lot from it.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain enterprise applications on Java, from the back end to the front end.
• Develop new features in a modern architecture, using AI-assisted development tools such as code generation and code analysis assistants every day.
• Get to know, extend, refactor and modernise existing legacy systems.
• Handle integration work in complex enterprise environments made up of many systems.
• Take part in technical decisions, code reviews and shaping the development process.
• Work closely with the team, business analysts and specialists on the client side.

What we are looking for

• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• At least intermediate Java skills, for example the Spring / Spring Boot ecosystem, REST APIs and relational databases.
• A full stack mindset: comfortable with front-end technologies as well as the back end, or keen to grow in that direction.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, or strong openness and motivation to learn it.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and keep developing professionally.
• An independent, responsible way of working and a good team player attitude.

Nice to have

• Python or Go as a second programming language.
• Team lead experience, or interest in a technical lead role.
• Experience modernising legacy systems.
• Project experience in telecommunications or another large enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with different methodologies: agile (Scrum, Kanban), iterative and waterfall.
• Experience with distributed architectures: at least load-balanced, high-availability (HA) client-server systems, ideally microservices.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable code: knowing and applying Clean Code and the SOLID principles.
