Full Stack Developer – .NET & Azure

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong .NET and Azure experience to join a dynamic technology delivery team on a 6–12 month contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting modern full-stack applications across the Microsoft technology ecosystem, working across backend services, APIs, frontend applications and database technologies.

This is a fully onsite role in Johannesburg , requiring strong collaboration with developers, technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using C# and .NET / .NET Core .
• Build and maintain modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript .
• Work with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core for data access and application development.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with Azure services and cloud-based application environments.
• Design, develop and optimise SQL Server databases and queries.
• Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Write clean, maintainable and scalable code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other developers, architects, business analysts and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to Agile development practices and delivery.

Technical Requirements

Backend

• .NET 10 – .NET 8 acceptable
• Strong .NET Core development experience
• C# 14 – C# 10 acceptable
• Entity Framework 8 – EF 6+ acceptable

Frontend

• Angular 21
• TypeScript 5
• JavaScript / ES2025
• Experience with modern frontend development

Node.js / NestJS

• Node.js 22
• NestJS 11
• Candidates with strong Angular experience will generally have exposure to the Node.js ecosystem.
• NestJS experience is advantageous and can be developed on the job.

Database

• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
• SQL development and query optimisation

Cloud

• Strong practical Microsoft Azure experience
• Understanding of cloud-based application architecture
• Azure application deployment and services
• AZ-900 certification would be advantageous

Essential Experience

The successful candidate should have:

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer .
• Strong C# / .NET / .NET Core development experience.
• Proven frontend development experience, ideally with Angular .
• Practical Azure experience.
• Strong SQL Server experience.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capability.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative Agile delivery environment.
