Job Overview
Our client, a Singapore public sector organisation, is looking for Full Stack Engineers to join the development team on the VMS project for an immediate engagement. Engineers in this role will work hands-on across the full stack — from frontend user experience to backend services, integrations, and cloud infrastructure — building citizen-facing digital government systems.
We are hiring at two levels for this project:

• Senior Consultant Full Stack Engineer — expected to actively contribute code and demonstrate strong hands-on development experience, taking ownership of complex feature areas.
• Consultant Full Stack Engineer — expected to independently deliver features with support from senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features spanning frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), audit logging, and data compliance measures in line with PDPA requirements.
• Integrate with Singpass, MyInfo, and Corppass for identity verification and data retrieval.
• Implement notification services (e.g. AWS SES, SNS, Twilio) for email/SMS communication.
• Build scheduling and availability management features, including calendar-based tools.
• Develop attendance-tracking mechanisms (e.g. QR code-based check-in/check-out).
• Build dashboards and generate reports in exportable formats (e.g. PDF, Excel).
• Develop search and filtering functionality across profiles, listings, or similar data sets.
• Build recommendation or personalisation features (e.g. similarity-based matching, preference-based suggestions).
• Integrate AI/ML services or APIs (e.g. OpenAI or similar) to support intelligent features.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services (e.g. EC2, Lambda, RDS).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, CDK), and observability practices.
• (Senior Consultant) Take ownership of complex features end-to-end and provide technical guidance within the team.
• (Consultant) Deliver assigned features independently, with support and review from senior engineers.

Requirements
Required:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Min. 7 years' experience for Senior Consultant; min. 4 years' experience for Consultant.
• Recent, hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Next.js).
• Track record delivering production-grade applications, including RESTful APIs and relational/NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Experience implementing RBAC, audit logging, and PDPA-compliant data handling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. EC2, Lambda, RDS) and CI/CD, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform/CDK).

Good to Have:

• Experience integrating Singpass/MyInfo/Corppass and notification services (e.g. AWS SES, SNS, Twilio).
• AI-assisted coding experience (e.g. GitHub Copilot or similar).
• Experience with recommendation/personalisation features or AI/ML API integration (e.g. OpenAI or similar).
• Mobile-responsive/PWA development experience.
• Prior experience building citizen-facing government systems.
