Full Stack Developer | Pasay

About the role

Ascendion is looking for a Mid-Level Developer to join our development team and help build, enhance, and maintain web applications. The role will work across both frontend and backend development, using modern JavaScript technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using React.js and Next.js
• Develop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and NestJS
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable frontend components
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services
• Develop business logic and database-driven applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
• Perform code reviews and maintain code quality and standards
• Work with databases and ensure proper data handling and integration
• Collaborate with developers, QA, business users, and other stakeholders to deliver application features
• Participate in testing, deployment, and production support activities
• Contribute to improving application performance, security, and reliability

Requirements:

• 5 years of professional software development experience
• Hands-on experience with React.js
• Experience with Next.js
• Hands-on backend development experience using Node.js
• Experience with NestJS
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Git/version control
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and coding best practices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a development team

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with automated testing
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
