Full-Stack Developer, Python & AI-Assisted Development

About the Role

We’re looking for a developer who combines solid software engineering fundamentals with practical experience using AI coding tools to deliver applications from requirements through deployment.

You’ll use tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent assistants to accelerate development while taking responsibility for the quality, security, and maintainability of the result.

Your work will span Python backend services, frontend interfaces, databases, integrations, testing, and deployment. You should be comfortable understanding existing code, evaluating AI-generated changes, and resolving problems when generated solutions fall short.

Using AI is part of the workflow. Understanding and owning the code is part of the job.

What You’ll Do

• Translate product requirements into clear implementation plans, tasks, and acceptance criteria.
• Build complete features across frontend interfaces, Python backend services, databases, and APIs.
• Use AI coding tools to support implementation, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Give coding assistants useful context, including project conventions, relevant documentation, constraints, and examples.
• Review generated code for correctness, unnecessary complexity, security issues, and compatibility with the existing application.
• Verify functionality through automated tests, manual checks, and realistic user flows.
• Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling, and secure handling of credentials.
• Deploy applications using established workflows and investigate problems using logs and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to clarify requirements and deliver manageable increments.
• Document setup instructions, key technical decisions, and known limitations.
• Integrate AI-powered product features when they serve a defined user need.

Required Skills

• 1 to 3 years of full-stack development experience.
• Strong Python skills and experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI, or a comparable framework.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience using an AI coding assistant on real projects.
• Ability to read, explain, debug, and modify code produced with AI assistance.
• Familiarity with Git, branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Understanding of testing, application security, and deployment fundamentals.
• Clear communication, sound judgment, and ownership of assigned deliverables.

Nice to Have

• A portfolio demonstrating applications or features delivered with AI assistance.
• Experience with Docker, cloud hosting, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience maintaining project instructions and reusable workflows for coding assistants.
• Familiarity with browser automation and end-to-end testing.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs, structured outputs, tool calling, or retrieval-based features.
• Awareness of AI usage costs, privacy considerations, and external service failures.

• Code is understandable, reviewed, tested, and maintainable.
• AI-generated changes receive the same scrutiny as manually written code.
• Technical blockers and trade-offs are communicated early.
