Position Title: Full Stack Developer (React / Microsoft Azure)

Location: Bethesda, MD - 5 Days onsite - No Relocation

Assignment Type: Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $65 - $70 / Hr

Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday - Friday

Job Description Addison Group is partnering with a high-growth boutique tactical asset management firm headquartered in Bethesda, MD that is investing heavily in modern data and AI capabilities. They are looking to bring on a Full Stack Developer to help build and scale their portfolio analytics platform, a tool that allows financial advisors to design portfolios using risk analytics such as beta, correlation, diversification, and drawdown analysis.

The role is increasingly focused on front-end and UI/UX development, so we’re looking for someone who builds clean, intuitive interfaces in React and also has a strong technical foundation in web APIs and data integrations. The team works in a Microsoft environment, so experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric is highly valued.

A finance background is a plus but not required, since the domain knowledge can be learned on the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build modern, user-friendly React interfaces for portfolio construction, analytics visualization, and advisor proposal workflows
• Build Power BI dashboards and semantic models that present portfolio and risk analytics clearly and consistently
• Develop and support web APIs and backend services using ASP.NET and Python
• Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric, bringing in market data, fund data, and strategist models
• Optimize performance for large portfolio datasets and analytics calculations
• Collaborate with investment strategists and product managers to translate financial concepts into intuitive software
• Maintain high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to platform architecture as the system evolves

Qualifications Required

• Full stack development experience with a strong emphasis on front-end development in React
• A strong eye for UI/UX and building intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
• Experience building and integrating web APIs
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including semantic modeling
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Microsoft Fabric
• Experience working in a Microsoft/Azure environment, including exposure to ASP.NET

Preferred

• Background in banking operations, ideally within funds or fintech
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, or Django
• Experience with financial data visualization or analytics tools
• Experience building tools used by financial advisors, RIAs, or investment firms
