Full Stack Developer (Remote) [Intern]

Singapore-based web design and digital solutions agency serving clients across Asia Pacific. We design and build corporate websites, UI/UX interfaces, and SaaS platforms for clients in industries like education, healthcare, tech, and hospitality.

Job description:

Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Wix).
• Build and maintain robust backend systems using Laravel (PHP) and Node.js, including database architecture and API integration.
• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data management layers.
• Ensure uptime, scalability, and overall system performance.
• Create dynamic, responsive interfaces using React.js, Next.js, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
• Translate Figma or design mockups into pixel-perfect and optimized interfaces.
• Optimize and debug across browsers and devices to ensure smooth UX/UI performance.

E-Commerce Integration

• Configure and customize WooCommerce and Shopify setups.
• Implement product flows, custom checkout experiences, and payment gateway integrations.
• Integrate with CRM, ERP, or marketing tools via APIs.

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Set up and manage environments on AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route 53) and Azure (App Services, Blob Storage, DNS).
• Handle server provisioning, DNS, SSL certificates, and deployment pipelines.
• Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Manage Git workflows, branching, merging, and code reviews.
• Implement caching, CDN, monitoring, and infrastructure security best practices.
• Optimize hosting environments for speed, reliability, and scalability.

Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Diagnose and resolve technical, API, and performance issues across backend and frontend.
• Continuously optimize code for speed, SEO, and security compliance.
• Maintain documentation for systems, API endpoints, and deployment processes.

Collaboration & Client Communication

• Collaborate with designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality projects.
• Communicate directly with clients when needed to clarify requirements and provide technical recommendations.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• Some proficiency in backend development using PHP (Laravel) and Node.js.
• Proficient in frontend development with React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Some hands-on experience with API design, integration, and management (REST / GraphQL).
• Some experience with Shopify Liquid, WordPress theme/plugin development, and custom post types.
• Proficient with MySQL / PostgreSQL database design and queries.
• Understanding of Git/GitHub, version control workflows, and code deployment.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Docker, Nginx/Apache, and command-line tools is a plus.

Cloud & DevOps Skills

• Some experience managing AWS (EC2, Lightsail, S3, Route 53) and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Knowledge of server setup, scaling, and cloud security practices.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of caching, CDN setup, and web application security.
