Full Stack Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX . The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development, along with expertise in building scalable enterprise applications and microservices.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot technologies.
• Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using React.
• Develop and integrate business process workflows using Camunda.
• Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks utilizing Cypress.
• Execute performance and load testing activities using JMeter and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, QA, Architects, and DevOps teams within Agile environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while improving application scalability, stability, and performance.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development and enterprise application engineering.
• Strong expertise in: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, Application Development.
• Experience with: React, Camunda, Cypress, JMeter, Agile Methodologies
• Experience designing and developing cloud-ready applications.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms including:

• AWS

• Microsoft Azure

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.

• Experience supporting high-volume production applications and distributed systems.
