A privately held, established company is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a growing technology and product-development initiative.

This position will work on the development of a new software platform combining web applications, mobile and field-based technologies, cloud services, APIs, data management, automation, and emerging technologies.

Because this position involves confidential product development and intellectual property, additional details regarding the platform and its applications will be discussed with qualified candidates during the interview process and may require execution of a confidentiality agreement.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software applications.
• Build responsive and intuitive web-based user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, databases, and application logic.
• Integrate third-party software, hardware, cloud platforms, and external APIs.
• Develop secure systems for collecting, processing, storing, and retrieving data.
• Build tools and workflows used by field personnel, administrators, customers, and business partners.
• Assist with development of mobile and device-connected applications.
• Develop real-time communication and data-transfer capabilities where required.
• Work with structured and unstructured data, including documents, images, video, and other field-generated information.
• Assist with implementation of AI and machine-learning capabilities through APIs and locally hosted models.
• Participate in architecture decisions for cloud, edge, and hybrid computing environments.
• Develop authentication, permissions, user-management, and security functionality.
• Build reporting, dashboard, notification, and workflow-automation features.
• Integrate existing business systems and third-party platforms into a unified software environment.
• Troubleshoot and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing product improvement.
• Work directly with company leadership and outside technology partners to turn concepts and business requirements into working products.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
• Strong experience with modern front-end development.
• Strong experience developing backend applications and APIs.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of modern software architecture and application design.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external systems.
• Experience with source control, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, application security, and secure data handling.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take a concept or business requirement and independently translate it into a technical solution.
• Ability to work in an environment where requirements may evolve as the product is developed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Candidates are not expected to have experience with every technology listed above. We are more interested in strong engineering fundamentals, the ability to learn, and experience building real-world applications from concept through deployment.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for more than someone who can simply complete assigned coding tickets.

The ideal candidate is an engineer who can look at a problem, understand what the business is trying to accomplish, and help determine the best way to build it.

You should be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial product-development environment where you may move between front-end development, backend systems, integrations, databases, APIs, hardware interfaces, and emerging technologies.

This position will be particularly attractive to someone who enjoys building something new rather than simply maintaining an existing software product.
