Danica Pension is one of the largest Life & Pension companies in Denmark. The Danske Bank Group is the largest financial institution in Denmark by total assets and one of the foremost in the Nordic region. Danske Bank provides a comprehensive array of services including banking, mortgage financing, leasing, real estate brokerage, asset management, insurance, and pension solutions.

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our squad at Danica IT. This exciting role involves driving the development and modernisation of our platforms, as well as supporting and maintaining our self-service solutions to ensure they operate smoothly and reliably. The ideal candidate is curious and eager to engage with new technologies and responsibilities but also willing to challenge and improve existing solutions and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Work on strategic initiatives supporting Danica’s committed business strategy

• Design and develop scalable web and mobile applications using React, React Native and .NET

• Monitor performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability

• Work collaboratively with the IT Architecture team to ensure alignment with the overall IT strategy and goals

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and procedures related to the solutions

• Participate actively in incident and problem management, as well as IT change and release management activities

Technical Requirements (Must Have):

• Minimum 4 years in full-stack software development

• Experience with back-end development using .NET technologies

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably React OR React Native

• Proficient in object-oriented design, software engineering principles and container-based deployment

• Expertise in developing system integrations via REST APIs

• Experience working on applications that have been deployed to production and used by end users

Technical Requirements (Good to Have):

• Proven track of building clean, maintainable, testable solutions

• Curiosity and practical experience with AI tools, demonstrated through their use or experimentation to improve productivity and identify new ways of working

Soft Skills Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex technical challenges and contributing to architectural decisions

• Open to adapting to changes in technologies, tasks, and acquiring new skills

• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills in team-focused environments

• Able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

• Proactive communicator who is comfortable speaking up, questioning requirements and driving discussions to clarify ambiguities and define clear outcomes

• Strong English communication skills, both in writing and verbally
