What's my job?

Located in our Melbourne or Sydney office, you’re a Full Stack Engineer in the Data and Technology team, working across both client projects and our internal suite of products.

Alongside building new features, you'll help companies move onto our products, migrating their workflows and data from their existing software and building the integrations that connect to the systems they already use.

This is a mid-level role. You've already shipped real products across the stack and you're ready to own features end to end with minimal supervision, working closely with internal users, Product Design and our Digital Producers.

A Day in the Life

• Take features from prototype through frontend, backend, AI integration and deployment.
• Build React interfaces that get usability, interaction details and failure states right.
• Design APIs, data models and integrations that stay understandable as the product grows.
• Build AI features using agents, tool use and MCP, backed by guardrails, evals and validation.
• Move companies’ workflows and data onto our products, making sure nothing is lost along the way.
• Own what you ship: triage bugs on your features, work out whether the fault is in the data or the code, and fix it.
• Improve how we build: Use Claude Code to plan, build and review your work, and create workflows the team can reuse.

How will we know you are the one?

• Strong, hands-on experience building end to end in React and TypeScript.
• Solid experience building and shipping modern web products across frontend and backend.
• Strong backend fundamentals: API design, relational data models, SQL and authentication.
• Strong UX instincts and care for accessibility, performance and interface details.
• Experience building reliable AI features using tool use, structured outputs, context management and evals.
• Confidence using coding agents and AI-assisted tools while keeping code quality, tests and reviews high.
• Accurate estimating, and the judgement to flag scope creep before it gets built.
• Clear communication and strong collaboration with engineers, designers, producers and users.

Other things that would make you excel in this role

• Familiarity with Cloudflare or cloud platforms such as AWS, MCP servers, SQL databases such as PlanetScale, PostHog or similar product analytics, CI/CD, automated testing and production observability, and image, video or audio handling.
