Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer experienced in Python and Vue.js to develop, maintain and scale our AI-powered SaaS platform. You'll collaborate with our China-based development team, gradually take ownership of the platform and have the opportunity to help build our local engineering team. This is a hands-on role with a potential pathway into technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Build, maintain and improve frontend, backend, APIs and dashboards.
• AI Integration: Integrate AI models, develop automation workflows and optimise API performance and costs.
• Product Development: Develop new features, improve user experience and turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• System Maintenance: Troubleshoot issues, manage deployments and ensure platform security, stability and scalability.
• Technical Ownership: Work with our China development team, understand the existing architecture and gradually assume greater responsibility for the platform.
• Team Growth: Contribute to technical decisions and eventually help establish our Malaysian engineering team.

About you

• 4+ years of full stack development experience, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and Vue.js 3.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker and cloud deployment.
• Strong debugging and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and maintain an existing codebase.
• Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek).
• Familiarity with AI agents, RAG and workflow automation.
• Experience building SaaS platforms.
