Full Stack Engineer

About the role

As a Full Stack Developer , you will play an important role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining healthcare software applications. You will work closely with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and web designers to build reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys taking ownership of features from development through delivery, writing clean and maintainable code, and solving complex technical problems in a collaborative, product-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, user-friendly healthcare applications using Laravel, Vue.js, and other relevant technologies.
• Work closely with development and leadership teams to build solutions that create meaningful impact for pharmacy, hospital, and aged care professionals and their patients.
• Collaborate with web designers and product stakeholders to deliver intuitive user interfaces and seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well-structured code in line with established coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration to maintain software quality and reliability.
• Design and maintain scalable systems, APIs, and database integrations.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for development processes, systems, and APIs.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues to improve system efficiency and scalability.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and development best practices to continuously improve products and engineering processes.

Requirements:

Experience and Technical Skills

• At least 2 years of software development experience, with a strong track record of delivering products or features end to end.
• Strong proficiency in modern PHP frameworks, such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js; experience with React is also relevant.
• Experience designing and developing clean, testable, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• A solid understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and system architecture.
• Experience working with data and database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Sufficient English proficiency to clearly explain technical concepts, share learnings, and communicate insights from your work to colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A background in data science or experience working with data-driven products.
• Experience with healthcare data, regulations, standards, or healthcare technology systems.
• Alternatively, experience working in regulated or safety-focused environments, such as finance or government.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, data scientists, and product managers.
